Rising Son Records
Rising Son Records was founded in 1983 by Arlo Guthrie and has been located in the Old Trinity Church in Housatonic, Massachusetts (a village in the town of Great Barrington) since 1992. The church was home to Alice and Ray Brock, whose Thanksgiving Day dinners were the inspiration for Guthrie's 1967 song "Alice's Restaurant Massacree".
Working with RSR since 2006, the current website is the third version we have produced and it carries the theme of the most recent Arlo Guthrie record. The online store has become a major function of the site serving as the primary online source for purchasing from the label's catalog. For the newest version we also incorporated a mini video library of RSR video clips and an iTunes inspired interface for browsing featured releases.
